Day 1 – the Plan

Our yachts will wait for us in Marina Port Ibiza.

You can get there from Corfu city center by bus or taxi. Use Rome-to-Rio info.
We will meet at the restaurant Es Noray at 13:00 on the 10 Oct.

Shopping!

The most important part of the first day (except not getting lost:) – provision shopping. We buy everything we need for a week at a time, and then relax. Of course, you can do some shopping along the way, but don't rely on it. All basic things have to be onboard before departure.

It is all team work that you coordinate as a group.

Step 1:
Select 4 people from your crew to do this. No need to go all together!

Step 2:
Order a taxi. Also, we recommend renting a car for one day in advance, because there are usually a few rides to the shop. One person from your team can do it by picking up a car at the airport and dropping it off by the end of the day. The team will split the costs.

Step 3
Go to supermarkets:

  • Supercor Exprés, Av. Ignasi Wallis (central, small, walking distance, open until 02:00)
  • Mercadona, S'Olivera (biggest choice, 09:00-21:30, Sundays until 15:00, 2 km, take a taxi back)
  • Lidl, Av. Sant Josep de sa Talaia (cheapest, CLOSED on Sundays, 3 km, take a taxi back)

Sailing rules and principles

Please read this document carefully to avoid any stressful moments.

Security deposit: The security deposit for sailing is 250 EUR per person. It will be collected by the skipper on the first day in cash (or bank transfer to Elmarsailing) and left at the base.

Internet, phone
Mobile 3-5G signal will be reachable from time to time at sea and almost on all stops.
Ibiza is in the EU, so EU roaming applies.

Cash
It is highly recommended to have around 150-200 eur in cash just in case local islands´ places or craft/souvenir shops, etc wouldn´t accept the card.
