If you fly on May 15th:
We recommend to book a room in Catania and Palermo centers, walking distance from main train stations, for the night so we can have fun, some dinner, drinks together the day before sailing as well

Transfer: Airport-Marina

Palermo Airport to Capo d'Orlando (bus and train)
Step 1 – Take the bus or train from the airport At Palermo Airport (Terrasini), catch the bus to Palermo Centrale train station.
Step 2 – Get your train ticket From Palermo Centrale, buy a ticket to Capo d'Orlando-Naso online or at the ticket windows or self-service machines.
Step 3 – Board the train Check the departures board for your train to Capo d'Orlando-Naso.
Step 4 – Arrive at Capo d'Orlando-Naso. Take a few minutes taxi to Capo d’Orlando marina. You've reached your destination!

Catania International Airport to Capo d'Orlando (bus or train)
Step 1 – Take the bus/train from the airport At Catania airport, catch the bus to 582 or N590 towards Messina or train 5390/ RE 12960 at Catania Aeroporto Fontanatossa to Messina Central
Step 2 – Change your bus At Messina station/central, change the bus/train to Capo d'Orlando
Step 3 – Arrive at Capo d'Orlando-Nasa. Take a few minutes taxi to Capo d’Orlando marina. You've reached your destination!

The most important part of the first day (except not getting lost:) – provision shopping. We buy everything we need for a week at a time, and then relax. Of course, you can do some shopping along the way, but don't rely on it. All basic things have to be onboard before departure.

It is all team work that you coordinate as a group.

Step 1:
Select 4 people from your crew to do this. No need to go all together!

Step 2:
Order a taxi. Also, we recommend renting a car for one day in advance, because there are usually a few rides to the shop. One person from your team can do it by picking up a car at the airport and dropping it off by the end of the day. The team will split the costs.

Security deposit: The security deposit for sailing is 250 EUR per person. It will be collected by the skipper on the first day in cash (or bank transfer to Elmarsailing) and left at the base.

Mobile 3-5G signal will be reachable from time to time at sea and almost on all stops

Cash
It is very recommended to have around 150-200 eur in cash just in case local islands´ places or craft/souvenir shops, etc wouldn´t accept the card.
